Net Neutrality

Since its creation, the Internet has grown into a valuable tool which provides individuals around the world a free flow of information, dialog and debate. It has become an electronic town square, creating a unique venue for citizens to exercise their free-speech rights and engage in the political process.

For all of these reasons, it is critical the Internet remain open, unbiased and neutral. It’s also why I am a strong supporter and original co-sponsor of S. 215, the Internet Freedom Preservation Act.

This legislation will keep the playing field level, as it now exists, not benefiting giant corporations or large Internet service providers. It will also protect web users from any interference, discrimination, or service degradation.
