OCTOBER 17TH, 2008 | Harkin for Senate
The campaign is starting to heat up as we enter the last few weeks before election day, and there are a lot of exciting things happening on www.tomharkin.com
Our Building Blue II: Counting the Counties contest is now in the final round. We had a tremendous response for the nominating round with more than 1,000 Iowans voting for their favorite County Party, and I am happy to announce the top ten counties that will receive $500 and move on to our final round.
The top ten counties are: Cedar County, Dubuque County, Linn County, Marion County, Marshall County, Muscatine County, Polk County, Pottawatamie County, Scott County, and Story County.
Congratulations to the first round winners. And good luck to each of these counties in the final round, which starts today.
Make sure to click here to vote in the final round of the Building Blue II contest today.
I am also proud to announce that we have begun airing our first television ad of the campaign. The ad is called “Portraits” and will be airing all across Iowa in the coming weeks. The ad is focused on the goodness and the greatness of the people of Iowa, which is why I want to continue to serve you in the U.S. Senate.
You can view the new ad by clicking here.
Finally as you may have seen on our home page, a brand new shipment of yard signs has just become available. Sign up on our website to get your yard sign so you can show your friends, family members, and neighbors who you are supporting in this year’s Senate election. They are available on the website, or you can call the main campaign headquarters at 515-277-9966 to find the closest location to pick one up.
We are less than three weeks away from election night when our hard work over the last few months will pay off. It’s time to redouble our efforts in this historic election.
Don’t forget to vote in the final round of our Building Blue II contest, take a look at our new campaign ad, and request a yard sign today.

Good for you, Senator, for standing up to that fallacious attack. Cornered rats are always most vicious. On to your victory! We’ve already voted for you- Bob
